What social or virtual events did your organization offer to try and connect students with the rest of the organization? (for example, cooking classes, games, lunches, sports, contests)
During the Spring 2021 semester, the Career Center offered a calendar of professional development events such as: Student Success Center Salary Negotiation Workshop, Federal Resume Workshop, Resume/CV Workshop, Office of Undergraduate Research Services Overview, Education Abroad Office Overview, Leadership & Service Center Overview, as well an Alumni Association Overview). In addition to these events, we offered optional weekly Virtual Coffee Chats on Tuesday mornings from 9:30-10 AM for CSPEs to engage. The Career Studio Graduate Assistant also provided availability for optional 1:1 meetings in addition to small group Coached Chats (featuring the internship search, graduate school search, and/or job search). There were also additional opportunities for CSPEs to build relationships with professional staff such as serving on the Content Creators Committee, CSPE Interview Team, working with the marketing team on the Career Center at a Glance Report or coordinating with the Employer Relations Team on the Headshot Events. CSPEs were also provided with the opportunity to attend 11 different Career Confident webinars that were hosted this semester by the College of Arts and Sciences team.
